I’m going back to old school with this month’s reworks featuring one of the unsung heroes of Hip Hop.
Doug E Fresh always had small lane within Hip Hop. Respected and a catalog of classic joints yet never really had big hits. If asked 100 djs to produce a classic hip hop mix , you might find less than dozen include a Doug E Fresh track.
Personally I’m always enjoyed Doug’s party centric joints. As an emcee he is not known for complex wordplay nor complex flows but he always had a flair for sitting in the beat.
I made reworks featuring a slew of artists that mesh well with Doug E Fresh’s flow. Also included are two bonus tracks to round out May’s collection of Mister 21 creations. Enjoy.
