Remix Thursdays – The Mexican ReWorks

  • by

It’s well known within Hip Hop culture The Mexican by Babe Ruth is one of the most beloved tracks the pioneering deejays used to rock a party with. The 1972 track, recorded at the famed Abbey Road studios, contains an absolutely funky bassline and elements lifted from composer Ennio Morricone.

Most of my “creations” feature the bass sample from the classic track with only two tracks, How Many Emcees and True To The Game, containing a sample of the guitar part of the Mexican.
