This month I conbined two concepts together; remworking classic Hip Hop tracks and one of my favorite drum breaks
The drum break from Sly Stone’s “You Can Make It” is one of my all time favorite drum breaks. With the sudden death of famed funkster Sly Stone last month I decided this was the right time to rework the drums.
This is the first installment of reworking classic Hip Hop tracks. There are so many choice joints from the 80’s and 90’s that deserve a new look. I believe I did justice to these tracks and didn’t stray far from the original feel.
I will be dropping more classic Hip hop reworks near the end of the year, November or December. Until then enjoy this month’s reworks.
